Even though your business may not consciously be involved with cloud computing, chances are it’s already being impacted by it.
Since this is a trend that’s only going to continue to grow, your business can gain a competitive advantage by staying ahead of the curve. If you’re wondering how to make that happen, one of the best ways is by getting involved in the community that surrounds cloud computing.
While it’s great if you and other members of your team can go to multiple conferences, just going to one will give you a lot of knowledge and insight that you wouldn’t otherwise have.
To help you get an idea of what events are taking place, here’s a look at four of the top cloud conferences that are happening over the next year:
13th International Cloud Expo
Taking place at the Santa Clara Convention Center in California, this conference will run from Nov. 4-7, 2013.
Big data and cloud computing are both at the center of this conference’s focus. Key features of the conference include a signature “Power Panels” discussion, industry keynotes, general sessions and strategic breakout sessions. The conference will also feature two demo theaters, as well as a full expo floor. If you decide to go, you can take advantage of special group rates at the Hyatt Regency in Santa Clara.
Cloud Connect
This Chicago event will take place Oct. 21-23.
As the conference’s site explains, this event is all about providing developers, IT professionals and CIOs with the knowledge they need to not only make sense of what’s available on the market, but also successfully utilize those solutions within their company. Some of the conference tracks include Private Clouds and Virtualization, PaaS, OpenStack, and CloudStack. There will also be workshops on everything from Amazon Web Services to cloud security & risk.
Gartner Data Center Conference
Not only will you be able to learn a ton from this Dec. 9-12 conference, but you’ll also get to enjoy the fact that it’s hosted in Las Vegas.
Business alignment, private/public cloud strategies and enterprise mobility are just a few of the popular topics that will be covered during the course of this event.
Cloud World Forum
If you’re worried that the rest of this year is just going to be too busy for you to get anywhere, don’t worry. You can wait until 2014 and still go to a great conference.
The Cloud World Forum, which is booked for Olympia National Hall in London, will take place June 17-18 of 2014.
This big event will feature an interactive program and over two hundred speakers. It will also provide more concrete case studies than any other event in Europe.
Now that you know what cloud conferences are happening and when they’re taking place, all that’s left for you to do is look at your schedule and figure out which one is going to be the best fit.
