Technopreneurs – want to start a tech business but are still considering for potential business ideas? I’m sure starting a cloud business pops in your head somehow. Whether that is the case or not, I’d recommend and re-recommend you cloud computing. Why?
One answer: The cloud computing market is growing exponentially. And, while some fear that cloud computing as a business will become yet-another dot-com bubble burst more than a decade ago, there is one thing that differs cloud computing from dot-com craze: Cloud computing market is low supply with high demand.
As business owners are starting to realize that cloud computing offers plenty of benefits, there will be a healthy demand for cloud solutions for business. That’s partly the reason why big enterprises, such as IBM and Dell, leave their “old” products and services and went all-out in developing cloud services to cater businesses.
Let’s do a simple cloud computing trends research, shall we?
I would like to recommend you Google Trends to check for the current trends in cloud computing. The trend results are based on what people search about during a specific set of time frame, and the results include some featured news, and the regional information related to the search.
Trends for private cloud, public cloud, hybrid cloud
Trends for SaaS, PaaS, IaaS
Trends for cloud apps, cloud services, cloud solutions
As you can see, the 3 set of trends I researched have shown strong growth in the past 2 or 3 years. More searches mean more opportunities lie in the related search terms – in this case, cloud-related terms.
Obviously, you can search for anything with Google Trends. You can enter as many search terms as you want to check for their trends.
So, are you ready to take on cloud-based business opportunities?
